The ‘Município do Porto’ (Municipality of Porto) hired the specialised services of the Centre for Research in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources (CIBIO) to carry out a proactive and strategic reflection on the tree planting of streets, avenues, and other channel spaces in the city of Porto — which ultimately resulted in the ‘Plano de Arborização da Cidade do Porto’ (Municipal Tree Planting Plan for the City of Porto). This work was developed between 2021 and 2023.
The 296 page book we designed is the documentation of this Municipal tree plan. The project and the book was coordinated by Paulo Farinha Marques, Senior professor and director of the MA in Landscape Architecture at the University of Porto, and Ana Monteiro, Senior professor and director of the MA in Cities Challenges, also at the University of Porto.
